How to Learn About Paddle Trips

Currently there are 5 sources to learn about trips.  It is unlikely that any one source will contain all trips that occur but this website WichitaPaddler and the Kansas Paddler websites will try.  Cliff schedules trips that sometimes don't make it to the KCKA website and many trips are scheduled with a few days notice. The schedules on the three websites are updated frequently so check them often.

To learn about Short Notice trips make sure you include your email address when you become a KCKA member.  

• KCKA members receive a wonderful Newsletter that lists many of the trips, provides helpful information and reports on previous trips.

• The Kansas Paddler (official KCKA website)
• KansasRiverRat.com - Cliff Long's personal website
• Short Notice Trips - Many other trips are not created in time to be published in the newsletter.  Members can be notified by email of Short Notice trips.  Chris and TJ have the capability to announce Short Notice Trips.

Additional Trips: Many other trips are never announced because they are, for instance, decided on the day before between a couple of friends. It just is not practical to schedule these trips and the notice would be way too short. The best way to learn about these trips is to let the people you like to paddle with know that you are ready to go and ask them if they are expecting to paddle.  You can also contact the Trip Coordinators in your area and suggest a trip.  They love to paddle and if they have company they just might go.
