North Fork of White River, MO

Float History:

On Cliff's October 2003 float the river was between 2.45 and 2.55 feet and was running between 320 and 360 CFS.  It was neither to low nor to high.  It was great and the water was very clear and cold.  As I recall, a new paddler got wet 2 or 3 times and the rest of the group stayed dry.

On the April 17-18, 2004 float the river was between 2.71 and 2.73 feet and was running between 507 and 516 CFS. Both WW and Flatwater boaters enjoyed this trip. I believe one touring kayak bumped a rock sideways and spilled. We found several small waves that were surfable and some eddies to use for practice.  The Falls were great.  All boaters navigated the Falls without incident.  Four WW kayakers and a small rec boater had a blast surfing the wave.

On Cliff's October 9-10, 2004 trip the river was at 2.42 feet and 343 cfs both days. Hammond Mill to Blair Bridge was a great float. I measured 4:50 min float time and 11.3 miles. Sunday we did Patrick Bridge to the Tecumseh take-out and had plenty of water.  I measured 3:20 min and 7.6 miles. We portaged over the dam at Dawt Mill and played in a wave just below the dam for quite a while. This was the best wave found this weekend.

October 16-17, 2004. Rained unknown amount on Friday night. Did Hammond to Blair Bridge Sat and then Twin Bridges to Hammond on Sun and measured it at 5.11 miles and 1:50 min. 2.54 ft and 358cfs on Sat. 2.42ft and 343cfs on Sun.
